OFX File Repair

If an OFX file will not import into accounting or personal-finance software, the problem is often a small structural issue: a bad header, invalid date, missing account field, duplicate transaction ID, or unsupported OFX variant.

Common OFX import blockers

• Missing or malformed OFXHEADER, DATA, VERSION, or ENCODING lines
• Dates that do not match OFX timestamp expectations
• Missing bank, card, account, or currency identifiers
• Duplicate or unstable FITID transaction IDs
• OFX SGML/XML differences that one app accepts and another rejects
